The Brief
FANS previous Joomla-based website was in need of a complete makeover.
FANS needs to update the content of their web pages regularly and they do so in house for economical and flexibility reasons.
The colour scheme and graphic chart was imposed by the existing website.
The new design brief included a modern casual look & feel, reflecting the dynamism and the many activities of the francophone Association on Sydney Northern Beaches.
DigIdeas remodeled the old website architecture to improve the website’s usability and to add new features. We imported the existing Joomla content into WordPress, redesigned the home page – which includes a slider – and we created the layout for the English pages.
As FANS activities are by essence bilingual (English and French), we installed a multilingual plugin on the website.
The website also integrates a members only section, an embedded Google calendar, photo albums, links with social media and a restricted access survey.
